Multiple entry O (family) visa

Featured Replies

I have multiple entry O family 1-year visa issued overseas. Soon I will be hitting the 90 day limit. My question is if there is a way to avoid the risky van ride to the Malaysian border? Can I do something at the local immigration office? I won't be exceeding the 6 months stay, so I need to be able to stay for 90 more days.

Thanks.

Unless you qualify for an extension of stay the only option is the visa run.

You may be able depending on circumstance to get a 60 day extension to visit a wife or your own child.

You could get a 60 day extension to visit your wife.

Or if you can meet financial requirements of 40k baht income or 400k in the bank for 60 days you could get a 1 year extension based upon marriage.

There is no 6 month limit.

You could also fly out and back - even the same day - if that is easier. Not knowing where you are limits specific suggestions.

What documents are needed to prove foreign (Canada) income?

You do a statutory declaration at the embassy. I understand they ask for proof.

Yes. A letter from your Embassy.
