So. My first time. A bundle of nerves because i had put my money in a fixed term account and heard some bad things about Immi's view on those.

We live in Kumpawhapi which is 35 km ish south of Udon Thani. I aimed to get there at 07:30 based on queue comments from other Immi Offices on the forum. Misjudged that totally so we were there at 07:10. Not a soul to be seen inside or out. Well Obviously !

Anyway I was also worried that I hadhad my bankbook updated yesterday 29th so at 08:00 wife suggested not many people should she go and queue at Bangkok bank opposite to get an update. I thought there would be a crowd descending after that but No. At 08:15 ish I was joined by another Brit Anthony and We had a chinwag totally missing the doors opening. Wife coming back with updated bankbook alerted us that the Office was open.

Immi Officer issued the Retirement Extension and Multi reentry permit in 20 minutes. Most of that was me signing the pieces of paper. Such a nice lady. Quiet and efficient. No drama. No questions. She did the business, took the money and brought the change and receipt back from the Cashier. (Actually Mrs gave her the change for a "Starbucks" which she accepted with a wry smile). I was happy.

So The point of the story is that I had copied ALL of the exit/entry stamps from myUK Non-O Multi (4 exits). She did indeed take these copies with the papers offered (As the Jomtien member recorded recently). Maybe other members would like to record that and do the same until a pattern is established ?

Had planned on lunch in Udon with the missus. We had breakfast ;-) Result.

Same Same! Went to Korat Immigration for my annual extension by way of retirement. I have annual income in excess of THB 65000 which was confirmed by British Embassy which I obtained by post.I arrived at 8.25, doors opened at 8.30 and I was first in, in fact the only one for annual renewal. I had copied all the necessary and the Officer proceeded to quietly and efficiently do the necessary.I also got a re-entry visa and the only copy required was the new stamp in my passport, I had completed the form and had all the necessary copies. I asked about the number of days before expiry that I could renew and was told 45 days. All done in about 35 minutes. My passport was returned with the 90 day form, and all dates explained. Wonderful service and a great start to my day.

I applied for my re-entry permit today at Jomtien and took copies of every visa and extension received over the past three years. The officer thanked me for being so well prepared and the whole operation was completed in twenty minutes
