smellyskater
Hello everyone, If a tourist visa has been successfully issued and stamped into a passport is it possible to ask immigration not to use it. Instead, ask that the visa exemption is used. I would like to exit Thailand after only 2 weeks with out using one of the entries permitted on the tourist visa. Once I returned I would like to then start using the tourist visa with it's full 60 days. This would be within the "use by date" of the tourist visa. Thanks all... I hope that this is clear
lopburi3
No it is not permitted but some will allow and others will not. You can ask but be careful as some who insisted have faced option of there visa being canceled. You could enter using visa and then obtain a re-entry permit to allow a short trip and return on same permitted to stay time and be able to extend normally. Also be aware all entries must be made by the use before date of the visa.
smellyskater
Thanks Lopburi3, Sounds a bit risky. Maybe I'll be better off like you say using a re-entry and if need be get an extension after the 60 days. I'll go and practice my wai and smile too! Thanks!
