HIV patients welcomed to 30-baht care

The Secretary-General of the National Health Security Office said today that HIV patients with a gold health insurance card can receive their HIV medication at their nearest medical service centre.

Saghuan Nitthayarampong secretary-general of the National Health Security Office, said the new policy makes HIV patients eligible to register for medication under the 30-baht health care programme.

Patients who cannot travel may register at the most convenient health care centre in their district.

The secretary-general promised that a state-of-the-art HIV care centre has been set up under the health care policy in order to provide quality health care to patients.
