Questions about non-immigrant ED visa

Featured Replies

I am a long time tourist in Thailand and I am currently on my third single entry tourist visa. The last time i applied for a tourist visa at the thai embassy in singapore they denied me the visa, but luckily after i re applied i got it. But when i got to the airport in BKK, they started to ask me questions like what i was doing in thailand and they were very suspicious. Luckily they let me in but they were very close to deny me entrance. My reasons for staying in Thailand as a tourist are legit, and i should stay here on a tourist visa. But because of the current events i feel that if i apply for a 4th tourist visa it is very likely that i wont get it. Thats why im looking to maybe start studying Thai, not only to get a visa of course, but also because i find it interesting and im learning thai by myself right now.

Is it easy to get a Non-immigrant ED visa right now? For example to study thai language in BKK

How much does the cheapest schools cost all in all?

How long can you stay on the visa?

How much must you study each week and how many hours should you be present at the school?

Here's a website that pretty much explains it all, not necessarily the cheapest but there are others: http://www.tlslanguageschool.com/

1. Not hard to get.

2. Costs vary from school to school. Usually the initial outlay is the full 1cost of the course, thea trip to a nighboring country to get the visa and 1900 baht every 90 days with paperwork from the school to extend your permission to stay.

3. If you enrolled in all of the courses on the website above, back to back, you could stay 50 years,

4. I think that you must attend class 4 hours/week, or at least have paperwork from the school that states that you are.

Good luck!
