I am from the USA. This is my first time to Thailand. I am 23 years old.

I got a 30 day upon arrival and have an apartment in Chiang Mai for 3 months.

My VISA is going to expire about November 12th.

I've tried searching this forum, google, talk to people, but the VISA run is extremely confusing to me.

Someone told me to go to Vientanine to get the 60 day visa and told me a bunch of confusing stuff that must be done, brought, etc.

My Macbook Air that I brought is currently messed up and the store here replaced the hard drive but it did not fix the issue, so I am thinking about going to Hong Kong so that I can visit an actual Apple store and have them replace my macbook.

If I go to Hong Kong:

Can I get the double entry visa?

Do I apply for the double entry visa upon arrival?

What do I need to bring, and with things such as passport photos, are there stores that do that?

Do I need an outbound ticket back to Thailand from Hong Kong, or can I get a one way in case it takes the apple store a while to sort my situation?

You will only get a single entry tourist visa at the consulate and will need to show a ticket out of Thailand when you apply.

You will need a ticket out of Hong Kong.

Try Kuala Lumpur. Closer, cheap flight, simpler re visas, free entry, several Apple stores downtown.

I already booked my flight to Hong Kong, so I will let you guys know what I find out about getting a visa there. I'll be there from the 13th of November to the afternoon of the 17th.

Anyone know where to get information and forms? Sorry I am new to this, google searching is just bringing up confusing answer.
