Ticket out of Thailand for 30 day visa waiver

Featured Replies

Something just crossed my mind when reading posts here about airlines checking ticket out of Thailand if you have no visa.

I have been stopped once in london when I only had a one way ticket LHR to BKK and no visa. Had to buy return.

Never had a problem again.

Then I realised all my other tickets have been BKK - LHR - BKK using the LHR-BKK part.

Three months ago fying KLM, the girl in front of me had to show the check-in her visa. When it came to me they did not even open my passport.

I wonder if they can see you have came from Thailand it makes a difference.

The difference could of been her nationality. Not everybody gets exempt entries. It just depends upon luck whether they bother checking for tickets or not. Your entire itinerary shows if you bought a round trip ticket.
