Featured Replies

Just wondering if anyone knows of a reputable construction company in Khon Kaen area?

Been kicking the apartments thing for a while as a retirement gig, so I figured I should get a price per sq meter or per room, I've been told around 170,000 baht per room but that dose not give me the sq meter price per room?

OOP'S forgot to add that they will be basic fit for uni students

Try the real estate forum.

dont know about square metreage rates but for a 3 level 8 rooms plus shop at front they are charging around 4 million baht in Surat Thani and these are designed for uni students.

I know someone who might be interested in doing it for you.

I just started a duplex (2 unit building.....178 sq meter).....BID was for 8500 baht/sq meter. This though is for double walls with insulation , 12mm glass, 4 bathrooms, and 2 kitchens. When done (with changes I may make, price may go up to 10,000 baht/sq meter. This is being done in the Rayong area but don't think construction prices vary that much from area to area (if anything Khon Kaen should be cheaper)

Best thing to do is get 3 bids.....

I am assuming you have plans already and.....you obviously are having a problem finding builders.....what I did was when driving around looked for construction being done then would stop and talk to the contractor (actually my wife would as most Thai's don't speak very much English) and so we found a few contractors that way.....another way is to go to a building center or building supply company and ask them if they could recommend someone (some have a bulletin board in front where the builders put their business cards)...AND also look in the local city magazine (usually the free throw aways you find in the coffee shops).

most people think khon kaen is cheaper , it is as expensive as parts of phuket, pattaya and bkk actually .
