Please put my mind at rest re Visa on Arrival

Featured Replies

I am from the UK, my girlfriend is from Romania. We have booked return flights to BKK (with Emirates from Barcelona) with a total trip length of 21 days.

As a Romanian, my girlfriend only gets a 15 day Visa on Arrival so we have booked a 4 day trip to Siem Reap flying from Suvarnabhumi 7 days after our arrival in Bangkok. We spend 4 nights in Siem Reap, then return to Bangkok where she should get a further 15 day visa on arrival to cover her for the remainder of our trip.

We have proof of flights out of Thailand, proof of hotel bookings etc. Is there anything we have missed or I need to be concerned about?

Many thanks in advance for any help or advice!

You should have no problem. Be sure she has photos and 1000 baht for the VOA.

Thanks ubonjoe. We have travelled a few times to Thailand but never for longer than the 15 days her VOA allows for so a bit twitchy! We have the baht and photos.

Has she tried to obtain a normal tourist visa? The VOA is an alternative as no visa exempt entry but often a tourist visa can be obtained if they have access to a Thai Consulate which might make it easier for travel in the future if again more than 15 days.
