tutsiwarrior
where we live in Supanburi we replaced the crappy installed louvered windows with custom made sliding ones...just told the guy what we wanted and showed him a photo of an arrangement in the flat we were in in Bahrain (multiple track alum. units with a good sealing arrangement)...the price not bad either, about 20K baht for 6 x 1m W x 1.5m L units, installation, wall restoration and etc included... if a contractor can be found out in in the boonies for this sort of arrangement there must be plenty available around your way... also look at www.coolthaihouse.com for good suggestions... astral
Be very careful here. Most of the aluminium sliding shops in Thailand have no idea how to do the job properly, and double glazing is totally beyond their experience. The windows need to sit in a U shaped track with sides about 2-3cm high. This is available, as I have seen it used in a local private hospital. Go and take a wander round and possibly take some photos to show the shop what you need. If they look blank, then move on, you have not found the right supplier.
