Come on people viewing

If you like movies and talking let's hear fromyou

Like movies, but not talking during the movie.

Do you mean current releases or classic films from the past? I'm not much interested in current films and most of my favs are from the B&W era.

Talk after movie

Interest any - as long as it is good

Spoiler alert!
Want to know the ending of the movie Titanic?

It sounds like a good idea but this might become a slew of spoilers for those who haven't see a movie being discussed.

I guess I'll just stick to the discussions in IMDB.

Have you tried this website meetup.com ?

In Bangkok expats meets regularly to watch movies and have a cup of coffee

http://www.meetup.com/Bangkok-Coffee-and-Movie/

I am sure you can start a new group there for Pattaya expats , only change it to Pattaya-Beer-and-Movie.

JGV

did you get my pm?

OK, I'm in, if only to find somewhere in Pattaya quiet enough to have a conversation.

I told him i was intereted via PM.

Maybe he does not know what a PM is.

I also sent a PM and have not heard back.

I wasn't sure what JGV stood for so I looked it up.

Better than average movies are hard to come by in pattaya on the big screen, however i am STILL somewhat game, limited time offer only. tongue.png

Doesn't have to be the big screen, could be on the small screen. In my case, not so small.

I am sure many of us have extensive movie collections.

Nice of you to let everyone know that you've got a big one.

well before this slips into total degradation

movies anywhere are ok

if we do it on tv in a home / room we can be more picky

non-english (european) movies tend to be better

or we can choose or torrent the best of the best

there is a lot of good stuff if you wade through all the crap

i am game because i am a film buff and somewhat knowledgeable

i have already posted a few film reviews in the pattaya forum with MEH type responses w00t.gif

i also have a decent amount of dvds etc

I am also game, although somewhat less knowledgeable. I do however, have an indecent amount of movies. I concede that most of them probably are not very good. I often watch movies purely for amusement - to divert the attention.

I belonged to two diff clubs in the past;

One you read a book that week the other saw a movie that week, both on your own time, then get together to discuss.

Excellent idea, it went over VERY WELL but that was in the west, not sure how it will fly here, especially pattaya which is very different than any place i have lived or worked.

Thanks for comments Infinity and bandersnatch

The idea was to have a meeting place (Room in pub etc) and either watch a movie and discuss or watch at home and discuss at meeting place - purpose social - as an alternative to getting plastered drinking in a bar

So next question do you guys know anywhere with a spare room and any comments to above

Most of the restaurants are pretty empty in the late morning and Most of the afternoon between lunch and dinner. Shouldn't be to hard to find a nook or large table to inhabit for the price of a few drinks and a meal or two if anyone wants to eat too.

and while we are at it

you may want to catch maltavita on the big screen

director luc besson makes great movies

and the cast and acting is good with a different kind of script

black comedy: my fav!!!!!

michelle phifer pulls it off to a tee

seems like the newest thing in media now is/are ultra violent females

(the hot daughter)

this film has something for almost everyone

action comedy crime and a bit of romance

but the real heart and meat (things to think about) come from the dialog between robert deniro and tommy lee jones

oh and the look of the gangsters: perfecto!!!!
