Tonight I put butter and salt on my rice. No nam prick, no nam plaa, just butter and salt. I have done so with corn on the cob as well, treated it like the vegetable it is - always careful not to get caught though. Sometimes I eat rice with a fork too; I don’t even bring the spoon. I don’t need no stinking spoon.

Haha, my wife also consumes various vegetables and or fruits with sugar or salt and dried chilli.

I'm sure it's delicious but never entered my thinking.

I got the kids turned on the banana and mayo sandwiches. They love them as I did when I was young. Adults, both farang and Thai won't even try them.
