November 16, 201312 yr I use Mobilecare as my only virus etc shield. Now want to install Whatsapp, which demands that tasks killers, like Mobilecare, are "killed" too. Sounds like James Bonds East/West. I don´t remember who recommended Mobilecare, cnet.com ? Seems to work ok, don´t understand much about it. Makes me nervous, rightly or wrongly so?? If I really kill mobilecare, with what to replace, no adds preferably
November 17, 201312 yr I think WhatsApp! is safe-ish to install. Can you just disable Mobile Care, or even de-install it if it is preventing you from installing WhatsApp!, while you install WhatsApp! then re-enable, or re-install, it? Has Mobile Care highlighted intrusions/protected you? If so, can you share any specific details about "threats" it has identified, and insulated you from. (I know it does a ton of other things, besides "protection".) Maybe have a read through some user forums...and ask about potential solutions to your individual challenge. http://forums.iobit.com/forumdisplay.php?f=69 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2290180 https://whatsapp.zendesk.com/forums Edited November 17, 201312 yr by lomatopo
November 17, 201312 yr Don't you want Whatsapp running so you can receive msgs from people? Of course it hates task killers. So you need to find a way to exclude it, most of them have this feature for always-on apps like Push email, etc.
November 17, 201312 yr Author I am not too familiar with these things. The reason I choose this program was that CNET said= Beautifully simple optimizer and system scanner http://goo.gl/Q2hyOh Now why do whatsup etc "hate" these task killers, what do they kill? What do I divulge which I just may not want to social sites. Interestingly, my LINE apps has not problem, but more friends are using Whatsup. Also it is said that the telephone function works better on Whatsup than on Line
