do i apply and submit up to 28 days before handing folders etc at vfs (regents house) ,

i know that i cannot book the appointment online for interview at regents house until 7 days before the interview

There is normally no interview, the decision is based on the evidence submitted by the applicant.

The appointment at Regent House is just to submit the hard copy of the application and supporting documents, when you are ready to submit, make an appointment.

my understanding is that you do not now turn up with application form but have to book online .

one cannot book an appointment online until up to 7 days before the appointment .

my concern is that i am of the understanding that one cannot fill in and submit and print of the form until 28 days before your appointment and that you have to return to website and save again before each 7 day or application will not exist and you have to fill in form all over again

The application form must be completed online; yes.

It does not have to be done all in one go, but can be saved and returned to.

Once the application is complete you then make an appointment to attend the visa application centre; and I'm told that can only be done up to 7 days in advance.

Once you've done that, print out the form; then the applicant signs it and takes it to the appointment along with all the other documents.

I have never heard that the whole thing must be done within 28 days, but logic does dictate that if you don't return to a saved form it will be deleted at some point; but I don't know the time period for that.

If concerned, don't start the process until you're ready to submit the application.

In other words, gather all your supporting documents, including the financial questionnaire and financial evidence, then complete the online VAF form and make the appointment all in one sitting.

Such forms are only required for adult dependants
