I'm still waiting for my 2012 tax return that was filed earlier this year. This seems like a very long time, and have a lawyer that filed on my behalf who has been in contact with the Revenue Dept.

Is anyone else still waiting for their 2012 return ? What is the longest anyone has had to wait?

Ok, I know this is an old thread and it seems no one is interested, but I finally got my Tax refund from the Revenue Dept today for the 2012 tax year. More than 18 months after it was filed.

Business or personal? VAT or WHT? Which return - mid-year or half year? online or filed in person? etc

Probably one of the reasons no-one replied, on the little info you gave

If personal income tax that's a very long time as normally you get in 1 - 3 months depending on whether you filed online or in person.

If for a business, I wouldn't be surprised. Often it also triggers a tax audit

Personal P.N.D.90, filed electronically.

Usually I file by paper simply because it's quicker (tax documents need to be provided to them which you can't do electronically so usually requires a visit to the local Revenue Dept office anyway).

Actually, for 2012/2013 I was out of the country so hired a lawyer to do this. Usually they are quite simple to file by yourself, or get help from the RD officers who are extremely helpful..
