damole
I woke up today to Android 4.4 Kitkat on my original Nexus 7 this morning. Some of the icons look different. Hopefully there are some goodies hidden in there somewhere. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app
Langsuan Man
Congratulations, should have been a Thai lottery ticket since, according to this article, you were extremely lucky to get it on the first day of the roll out: http://www.gottabemobile.com/2013/11/21/nexus-4-nexus-7-android-4-4-kitkat-update-roll-outs-detailed/

lomatopo
I've been running 4.4 (KRT16O first, then KRT16S) on my Nexus 4 for a few weeks; since Google first posted the Factory Images. There is a lot more integration, and some changes which some people might not like. Maybe best to read about it first, or wait for people to experiment? Also, plenty of YouTube videos with reviews, features, etc. Note that some features are available on the Nexus 5 only, although you can flash some hacks to get close. https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images KRT16O had a few bugs, and some battery drain issues, but KRT16S seems great, quicker, better base-band (for DTAC anyway - getting 29 Mbps/3 Mbps. Easter Egg is in Settings, About phone, rapidly and repeatedly press on Android version until the K appears, spin it a few times. http://www.android.com/versions/kit-kat-4-4/ Edited November 23, 2013 by lomatopo

OMGImInPattaya
On the N4...the phone app/functionality is completely changed...and I was just getting used to the old one! My battery seems to be draining more quickly.
lomatopo
My battery seems to be draining more quickly. Go to Settings, About phone, What is the Build number? KRT16O: I had battery drain issues, believe those were corrected in KRT16S, which is giving me equivalent/slightly better results than 4.3. A lot of people with N4's swear by Snapdragon Battery Guru, which learns how you use your phone over a few weeks, then mods it to lengthen battery life between charges: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.xiam.snapdragon.app&hl=en Also in Settings, Battery what are the top four services by % listed>

Must delve into the settings and turn off some background apps I guess!
