November 23, 201312 yr I have a 4G EE monthly contract in the UK with my iPhone 5 but would like to purchase an iPhone 5S in LOS. I'm tied to the contract until mid-2015. I don't expect any problems inserting my EE nano-SIM to a Thai-purchased iPhone 5S. Are there any drawbacks that I should be aware of using a Thai-purchased 5S in the UK? Many thanks in advance. November 23, 201312 yr Author Anyway, I have checked the exchange rate on my credit card - 51.119517 to 1 GBP, less transaction charge, so quite favourable and very tempted to purchase a 5S this afternoon.

Just have to soften the wife first which should be negated with a purchase of a new phone for her, not an iPhone, though, as she doesn't want a smartphone, thankfully. I have used that on my own post many times and I have never gotten a message from a Mod or Admin that I am not allowed to use it for those kind of requests.

November 23, 201312 yr Author Also, what is a reasonable price to sell an unlocked black 32GB iPhone 5, in excellent condition with original packaging, back in the UK? Edited November 23, 201312 yr by wooloomooloo
November 23, 201312 yr Author Okay, purchased an iPhone 5S 64GB in graphite this evening for 31,950 baht from DTAC. I can confirm that everything appears good. Only small drawback, but nothing to worry about and didn't consider prior, was the Thai two-pin charging adaptor. No problem, I'll get one off eBay back in UK as will need the one that I possess from my iPhone 5 to sell as a package. Very happy with 5S and expect to sell my iPhone 5 for good price on return to UK.
November 24, 201312 yr Only thing to consider is location that you will use the phone. GB phone has different frequencies than SG/HK version. It will work quite well here but you won't get LTE in Europe, for example.

It will work quite well here but you won't get LTE in Europe, for example. Back in the UK now and glad to report iPhone 5s A1530 SG/HK version working fine with 4G reception. The only difference between the UK model A1457 is the additional TD-LTE bands for the Chinese market.on the A1530.
