skyaslimit
I am not sure if some one has asked this question on this forum before, but I am very much interested to know what are the laws and requirements to register an Interpretation/Translation agency as a legal company with Thai partners in Thailand? and what are the certification requirements for foreigners to work as interpreters/translators in major languages to work with this company? Any recommendation of a good law firm who have any experience in this particular field will be greatly appreciated.
Sunbelt Asia
This is not a restricted occupation so you can work as a translator but it is recommended to have "Language Consultant" (and the language) listed as the company objective. You will need a work permit for this so you must follow the usual procedure of 4 Thai employees and 2 million baht in registered capital (1 million if married to a Thai national). You will also need to check with the Embassy if they have any certification requirements. [sunbeltlegal][/sunbeltlegal]
