Culture Ministry Plans to Nominate "Khao Wang" for World Heritage Recognition

The Culture Ministry of Thailand is working towards getting Phra Nakhon Khiri National Historical Park, or Khao Wang as it's commonly known, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Culture Minister Sudawan Wangsuphakijkosol revealed at a recent cabinet meeting that the Fine Arts Department is studying the possibility of listing the 165-year-old park on UNESCO's preliminary list.
