Which Immigration Office Should I Go To.

Featured Replies

I need to renew my Non Imm O visa next Thursday, so in light of the current political turmoil I'm not sure where I should report to. So I decided to call the Immigration hotline 1111. I asked the operator will Changwattana be open next Thursday or should I go to Imperial World, the operator politely told me "I don't know." TIT

They gave you the only answer I can give you at this time.

You can do your extension early if you want to you don't have to wait until the last day.

I suspect the may be able to reopen CW this week.

" Non Imm O visas" cannot be renewed.

What exactly are you hoping to achieve ?

My thoughts also. Presumably 'renew' is a reference to the 90-day visa-run ? Or... ?

If I was a betting man I'd take a punt on extending extension of stay (based on Non Imm O).

I was soon disabused of misused nomenclature on here! smile.png

whistling.gif Rather the same question I have.

I must do another 90 day report on my current retirement visa EXTENSION by 18 December.

I will have to decide soon where to go to do it.... hopefully it will be at Chaeng Wattana .... mainly because after 3 years I'm quite familiar with that place by now.

Will have to make a decision soon, one way or the other.

And yes, I do know they can be done bt mail.

I Called the New York Thai Consulate about mailing in my passport with the form and fee and getting the 90 day via and I was told this was not possible. A year ago I drove to the Thai consulate in Boston and had it done in person fora previous trip. Is there something new going on, or is the man who i spoke to at the consulate in New York just a jerk?

If it was a non-o for retirement no embassy or official Thai consulate will do them because they only do OA visas. Boston is a honorary consulate.
