Hello Everyone, I was told by the Thai consulate in Cardiff, UK. That if i did a border run before my 1 year student visa expires then Thai immigration will renew my visa for 3 months. Is this correct? Reading everything i have read i cannot see how it is, does anyone know the truth? Please help.......

If you have s multiple entry visa you can leave and re-enter just before visa expires and get another 90 day entry. The visas expiration date is the just the last date that you can enter the country with it not how long you can be in the country.

Thank you Ubonjoe, you have just made my day, tell me, as i will be staying just outside ubon from now on, will they renew my visa for 90 days even at the friendship bridge crossings?

Chong Mek border crossing is closest from Ubon. You can get it a new entry without a problem.
