Monocular vision and getting a Thai driving license

Just want to share my experience with others. Maybe it might come in handy to some.

Ok so got my one year license the officers did not notice that i had vision in only one eye, but when i went for the 5year they did.

So what to do. Well you have to get a field of vision test done to prove you have enough vision in one eye to drive. (The area you can see with one eye) and with that document and the others you get the license. Dont go to CM Ram or Sri path to get it it takes forever. Go to Macromic hospital and less than 500baht and you got your result which you have to pass ofcourse.

Then to the llicense office and you get it. They do make a note on your license in Thai and mine says i need to wear glasses while driving which is not the case but monocular vision driving is legal here and many coutries as long as you have the required docs.

Loss of one eye makes you lose 2/5 of field of vision. Which is considered more than sufficient to drive.
