Leaving the country on non-b visa

Featured Replies

I'll be leaving the country this December to go back to my home country, Philippines, on non-b visa and I have a single re-entry permit. What documents should I be bring to assure that I'll be able to get back to Thailand? Do I need to register as an OFW in POEA? Any special permit I need to acquire from the Philippines(i.e. travel clearance, etc.).My non-b visa will expire next year on March. Thank you.

You already have a single-entry re-entry permit, you say, and this is all you need to enter Thailand on your return to Thailand, of course on condition that the re-entry permit is still valid on the date of your return.

You mention OFW and POEA and I have no idea what these acronyms mean. I have never seen them used in connection with entry into Thailand.

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place

POEA = Philippine Overseas Employment Administration

OFW = Overseas Filipino Workers

It seems that the OP's questions has more to do with being allowed to leave the Philippines than entering Thailand.

That is correct.

Quite right. Thank you for your replies. Leaving Philippines can be quite hard. Most especially if you don't know much about the law. Some people I know says I do need to have exit clearance while some disregards it, technically, all I really need is the re-entry and my visa.

Make sure you have re-entry permit and don't forget to bring a copy of your contract written in English. Go directly to POEA to register. Just ask the information staff and they will tell you what to do.
