doing my extension and 90 report at dan kwian yesterday i couldnt help noticing they have changed most of the front desk staff.

not sure if this has been mentioned before but the lady officer that dealt with me told me they dont mind you doing your 90 report 15days early but they dont want you to be late 7days at the most and the way she said it she would rather you sign on time.

20minutes ext.and report seems good staff.

almost forgot as i have always had the seasoned money 400k or 800k in a fixed acc.showed her the letter from the bank and the pass book the wife had to explain that there is no update untill it matures in my case jan.2014 this was ok and the other 2 officers agreed.but she did ask what are we living on as the fixed term was 399days.so we had to show her our current acc.book that we use for every day expences and explain we only have my pensions sent once a year those tranfers are in the same book..so anyone that does it this way take along the book you use for exs.

I have always gone to the Khorat office.

They have always been very good to deal with.

Treat them with a little courtesy and respect and they do the same for you.

Always helpful and understanding.

Never a problem.

I cringe when I read some of the horror stories expats tell about other offices.

Besides, you have all of that tacky pottery to look at when you leave!

I also use the Korat immigration office and just did my first 90 check in a couple of weeks ago.

I did notice that the very cranky, short tempered lady who previously staffed the front "help desk" has moved to the 90 day check in desk. I sincerely hope the move suits her skill set a bit better.

In and out within 15 minutes, and of course, as another poster mentioned, the obligatory walk though of the massive numbers of vendors offering pottery products of varying degrees of quality, price and subtleness.
