Lemons

Featured Replies

A very fruitful tree, from the garden.

Just for fun; at the bottom, the biggest (ponderosa) lemon I have had so far.

Unfortunately I do not know, if you or someone you know is fluent in Thai; Google it in Thai, you are guaranteed to get some leads.

Otherwise some of the agricultural centers might have it.

Most lemon trees come back true from the seeds. 5/6 year wait though.

Regards.

Soidog2, where do you live if I can ask?

Do you think that these kind of lemons can grow in the Isaan area?

Been looking to find for years now.....no success.

Many Thanks.

Have seen some growing near Somdet in Kalasin. Healthy tree with good fruit.

Have a great day

A scary thing i did read browsing many green forums, is that when you try to get a tree from the seed rather than from stem, is that you might have to wait for many years(up to 10?) before you can see if it will give fruits or not, and the percentage of sterile trees is high, that's why the stem reproduction is much better.

I'm in Kap Choeng south of Surin and have 10 Spanish Lemons trees. It just takes TLC.

Is that some sort of lemon's fertilizer or ???

  • 1 year later...

If anyone is interested, with two months notice I will grow you some yellow lemon trees from stems from my trees (max 10-15 a month),

or if I have enough 'Som O' root stock, grafted on those.

They usually blossom and have fruit in a year
