What year/decade do you think I took this photo, bearing in mind the following: - I first visited Thailand 30 years ago - I took this photo at around midday on New Year's Day (height of the high season) - There is no-one on the beach as far as the eye can see - There were no boats in the sea, no banana boats or jetskis! - This photo was NOT taken in the aftermath of the 2004 tsunami Let's see if someone can guess the year No prizes - just for fun Simon Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

As far as the eye could see, there was not a soul. That's not due to a lack of tourists - my local beach is always pristine clean and devoid of tourists, just a few fishermen. The reason for posting this photo was to show those cynics that Phuket is not just Patong or the other tourist beaches. There are still many quiet and unspoilt areas on this island.
