January 2, 201412 yr I think Canuckamuck is right, looks like a Baron's Kukri Snake, where did you see it ? they are only found in the south eastern provinces of Thailand.
January 2, 201412 yr Called a Kukri snake as it teeth are shaped like the kukri knife the Gurkha's from Nepal use. regards Worgeordie
January 2, 201412 yr We had an identical one in the garden last month. We heard a small cry, like a bird but wife recognised it as a frog in trouble. I went poking about under the shrubs to see a frog being dragged backwards by a leg, and it was crying.... Felt the need to rescue it..but it was gone. When the snake reappeared it was the same sandy colour as the OP with the longitudinal stripes. Maybe 12 to 14inch long, but I couldn't id it. Got a couple of photos but they are not great. Seen many snakes this year, but the scariest had to be meeting a malayan pit viper on the trail upto doi suthep, that was a life or death moment.
January 2, 201412 yr Here's one to be afraid of apparently. I wasn't getting any closer with the camera phone.
