Suthep falling right into Thaksin's trap, by destroying his own Bangkok ONLY Bangkok, only to be rebuilt by the Thaksin S( C)HINA-watra regime... wanna bet???wai2.gifwai2.gifwai2.gif

I have the feeling that Thaksin has been playing into Suthep's hands for the past 2 months. Everything they have done has been a joke and just adds to Suthep's ammo chest.

This is a PTP figure so it will be just a fudge to cause alarm, I estimate it to be scotched by some independent economists with actual qualifications in the subject.

I very much doubt it. And I think the farmers are beginning to realize that Fact. THis may be the prime reason PTP are pushing for the Election! beyond January the farmers may well be against PTP for putting them in a worse situation that before the rice scam began!

Many may not even be able to plant this year!

I really don't like what Suthep has done to the country and I don't like his intentions either. I also am not a fan of Thaksin - in fact I pretty much don't care because they're both as bad as each other I reckon. But what you're saying... nope, I wouldn't take that bet! You could be spot on. Let's pray not and let's pray there aren't too many casualities this time around (did I hear "ding ding round 3"?)

Government said MAY ?? Same as TAT predicted IN REAL TERMS ???? Forecast taking into account last years figures. WE EXPECT is another B/S remark. They have no idea they believe what froths out of their mouths.

Send the bill to the chief STIRRER in DUBAI..........................or for the sake of the in denial posters anyone will be to blame, as long as you not blame the government. Anyone who disrupts the corruption is a renegade.whistling.gifclap2.gif

This is an amazing team, that the government has cobbled together. They can forecast on a whim and a maybe, the damage they foresee on short notice but cannot account for the product or product cost on any of the populist programs they have been implementing and skimming from, for the past 2+ years.

The countries crediability is already in tatters, and foreign investment has not been meeting hoped for levels, for some time. Bring on TAT, Commerce, Financial, and the Foreign ministries next to say it will adversely affect their 'pie in the sky' figues and then tell us again how good things were prior to the current protests.

So fast forward to the not so far future,... Suppose IF, and ONLY IF it's going Suthep's way, it would be the Red shirts turn again who will travel to and annihilate Bangkok ONLY Bangkok, but this time for good,

If the cops did their job 4 weeks ago....cleaned up the protest sites....took the so called leaders in...prosecuted, fined, jailed..whatever....maybe...just maybe the situation would not be at this stage.

2010, with the reds, saw things happening almost exactly the same.....everyone stood back and watched.....in the cops case, they even assisted!

Thailand, unfortunately, has so far to go for the authorities and lawmakers, to get away from this being scared and non confrontationist state they seem to be in..the laws we have here need to be upheld.

It's obviously not that simple I know, but they just cannot keep going on in this way...everyone suffers in the end.

If I was the PM I would phone Prayuth and I explained to him that this amount would come out of his budget, unless he shows he is not a Ladyboy in disguise and shows his balls and defends the constitution that he himself forced upon the people. Only real losers cannot win or wine after having redrawn the constitution three times. So man up Prayuth and get the thugs of the street.

Many may not even be able to plant this year!

A planter harvest 200 packs of rice and keeps 10 packs at most for seeds (10%) to be replanted. The planting season has been ongoing for the last 2 1/2 weeks already. 200 packs none cut rice is 10 tonnes.

No farmer is that stupid to pledge 100% of its rice as between the 2nd harvest and rice planting season is only a few weeks. Only farangs that have no absolute

Another TV warrior that talks about a subject but has no ideas.

BTW Do you really think that millions of farmers didn't get paid? It's the rice mills that didn't get paid yet and the Bangkok Chinese want their money before the Year of the Horse starts end of this month. Rice pledger's come with their trucks to the Bangkok controlled Chinese that runs all those mills all over Thailand. If they want cash their will be a 10 -15% discount and the Chinese mills will collect the money from BAAC but pay the farmers on the spot.

Seen it every day here in Isaan. Some farmers tried to sell rice to those small brokers but they said they can't buy any more rice but they still are willing to buy at a discount of 20-25% and pay cash on the spot.

Its the Chinese that really got burned and once Suthep comes in power most of those Chinese mills might not get paid. If YS is smart don't pay and only after the election.

And what do you think would happen if she did ?

He would be in her office or wherever she is the next day suggesting that she be on a plane out right smart or she would have an escort to help.

He forced a constitution on the people ?

Cant you reds understand that there were only minor changes made to the constitution and they were taken to the people in a referendum.

You may not have noticed that it was not him in charge in 2010.

And where is the General now who was in charge then ? Oh yes he was in the PT Govt and is now part of the PT caretaker Govt

The army were forced to get the thugs off the streets just a few years back and who got blamed ?

You haven't been watching very carefully, the thugs have been shooting at peaceful protestors every night for several days now , yes get these thugs off the streets, seems the cops arent interested.

Now the red thugs are threatening to once again arrive, what happened on their last visit ?

Death and injuries, where before they came there were none.

And what is very likely to happen again ? yes same same when the red thugs arrive.

"...over 200 billion baht damages to economy" ???

- from ONE day of Protests? it sounds a tad exaggerated.

I don't believe the WHOLE city will be shut down! They only managed to get about 150,000 people on their BEST day !!

So, if they reckon they will lose a fictitious 200 billion in one day, then how much was lost from all the Red Shirt Protests a few years ago ??

Also: I see the Red Shirts are going to make their appearance (the following day) as a 'counter-protest'.

- From my memory, the Red Shirts have an amazing ability to do a lot more damage, create far more litter, act far more violent, linger on far longer periods of time which cost the country far more money!!

so, in proportion to the 200 billion baht claim (from this article), the Red Shirts must have ran up a cost of at least a quadrillion !!! cheesy.gif

Thanks for the correction!

Though this might be a contradiction:- Quote " Some farmers tried to sell rice to those small brokers but they said they can't buy any more rice but they still are willing to buy at a discount of 20-25%"

And

"If YS is smart don't pay and only after the election."

She/PTP don't as a caretaker government have the power to pay the mills untill after the Election, and BAAC aren't going to hand out anymore till they get the money from the government.

At th end of the day when the dust settles the farmers will still be worse off than if this scam had never happened!

This will be their perfect excuse to blame Yellow Shirts for not being able to pay the farmers.... if they survive that is.
