FangFerang
I just read at BP that Suthep's son, a spokesman for the PDRCMTBNSLTNS, said they are examing maps to be effective. Suthep and his son...really? Here come the Democrat's version of the Shinawatras, just not as financially successful.

Centrum
HA HA, what do you think would happen if YS resigns and gives Suthep Ultimate Power. Do you think the PTP will sit at home and say thankyou Suthep you are a nice guy. They will be coming to Bangkok the following month to over throw him. It will never end. The only way forward is to have an election. There is something fishy about this whole thing. YS calls a snap election at the first sign of a protest, so quickly, no one expected her to give in so easy, knowing that the Amnesty Bill only has 180 days before it expires. Suthep doesnt have the PDRC contend in the elections as if they hold seats in parliment they can stop the Amnesty Bill from going forward. Sounds more like a plan. Thaksin and Suthep are as corrupt as each other and probably good mates laughing at the Thai People expense, driving the Baht and SET to all time lows, Ready to jump in and buy some stocks, looking at passing the Amended Amnesty bill (Include Suthep in 2014 for his protest) if no one is in parliment to reject it. The protest is not about Thailand it is about them. They are laughing all the way to the bank with Somtum in hand. You can't be serious!!! You cannot seriously post something as outrageous as that without being challenged. Neither Thaksin nor Suthep would be seen dead eating somtum unless it was an election photo-op in Isaan.

Popular Post tezzainoz
So lets take a closer look Many TV member say the PTP are corrupt and can not be trusted Then they are many who say Suthep wants to be in control (even he has already said he will not stand) Where does that leave us Only a Coup to throw both sides out and set the future election so niether part can ever regain power I would be nice to see a poll on those who want PTP, Suthep, or a coup to settle this for once and for all ????
ratcatcher
Well Bangkok, your savior has now revealed his plans to screw you all. Wonder how long his support will last then? And were you one of the red cheerleaders in 2010, supporting the red shirts, who did the same for 2 months, but also with armed 'security', lobbing grenades at the public ?Given your post, I assume that you must have utter disdain for Juttaporn, Nuttawat, Arisman, Seh Daeng, etc., and the man that financed their nasty display. I have utter disdain for any of those persons red ,yellow, little green men or whatever who are yet again crapping on the country we have chosen as our home. Currently Suthep is causing, and about to cause more grief than anybody has for many years and is top of my personal disdain list. Perhaps you'd like him executed. Talk about going to the dogs. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/kim-jonguns-executed-uncle-jang-song-thaek-stripped-naked-fed-to-120-dogs-as-officials-watched-9037109.html
Old Man River
We have jumped from a protest for the Amnesty Bill to a total break down of civil disobedience , it go's without saying that give the man an inch he will take a mile, one wounders whether the backing required for Suthep's programme is really there or we have a lot of blust and blather , which ever way Suthep go's he must be sure that people right throughout Thailand are behind him, I am not so sure , I think the majority stopped at the Amnesty Bill. If they have frozen all his supporters accounts, how is it still continuing? Obviously, there is support not being written about.

jackptoke
One can assume that Thailand has already 'lost face' big time internationally for not ending this chaos sooner..... now this thug wants to make it worse. How long will the people of BKK tolerate this level of disruption of their city, to their lives etc..? It is not for a good cause..... and its most certainly not for the 'masses'. The masses already spoke at the last election - no level of 'reform', apart from disenfranchising everyone north of BKK, will change that. The Reds have vowed to keep BKK open, so it seems that battle lines have been drawn. I doubt whether the Police can handle this alone (there's already dissent in the ranks), so the Army will have to get involved..... civil war? Another Coup? Who knows.... but what is certain is that Thailand will rapidly descend to the status of a 'failed state'.....if it hasn't already. In this sate, other things begin to happen, especially around the borders.... so while the army is busy sorting out internal problems in and around BKK, you can be sure the insurgency in the south will become more active. And it won't stop at just the 3 southern provinces... it will be 15. So, by the time the southerners return home, they may find the situation very different - what a perfect political irony that would be! We will then have to get used to living in the People's Democratic Republic of Thailand.... if we are allowed to stay here or have moved out on our own volition....now that's an idea! Nobody want to make it worst.Suthep want to make a fair and corruption free society. I wish him success. Can you please tell us how he will do that?. May be I miss the announcement.

Morpheus? The passionate divide in the population exists. Violence has been a troubling thing of past protests. Decisiveness is lacking and real brutal "grab it while it's there" opportunities have existed to politically kick each other hard in the nuts, yet no real kicks ( not aimed at each other anyway). Foreign investor confidence is low yet they will be watching the currency move now. Bit of extra discipline comes in takes control, removes the threat (the threat!), sets reforms, sets new business rules. People applaud (whether here or there). Status quo hiccups. PokerFace
Oh well.....at least they havn't named Nan Plaza on their list.....although I dare say it would have added some further entertainment! Was stationed at Clark AB in the PI when protesters blocked the gates demanding that the Americans go home. fasteddie
Never give up. Fight on. No surrender!! Flight till victory or death. It is worth it. Death hopefully! No other democracy in the world would put up with this, send the police in and if the army (well the royal regiments) sees fit to interfere, then civil war is the only way. Democracy must prevail. fasteddie
"and educate them on national reform". Sounds like Lenin or Mao. Close but the wrong side; it's more like Mussolini and Franco. Through propaganda and more ruthless mechanisms, they also sought to suppress any dissident view through censorship, coercion and the targeting of individuals. They never held the majority's support but they ruled anyhow through "political reform". It's all very similar. Sounds a lot like living in Thaksin land : propaganda - ASTV, Voice Of Thaksin and more ruthless mechanisms : Red villages targeting of individuals : Reds keep attacking Yerllow leaders hgouses with bullets, molotov cocktails and grenades They never held the majority's support but they ruled anyhow : 35% There are 500 seats in the house of representatives and PT won 265, that is a majority without their coalition partners. Personal growth dynamics, group dynamics and political growth dynamics. The Thai family and the world family will all be the better for it. Is it pretty, doesn't seem to be so at this time. The USA, my Country of origin was in great stress through the 1920's, 30's, 40's, 50's and 60's. Now back there again. Even before then.
