90 day report query

Featured Replies

Hi I am certain I am correct in my thinking on this....

My exact 90 day report date is 29th January 2014, however I am travelling to Kuala Lumpur, 20th to the 24th January 2014.

So am I correct in thinking that I don't have to report on the 29th or 14 days prior, 7 days latter, but can do my 90 day report, 90 days after I return on the 24th January 2014, which will be 24th April or 14 days prior, 7 days after.

Or am I looking at this totally wrong.

Thanks for any guidance.

The 90 day count starts on 24th January.

So yes it will be in April.

Your report will be due 90 days from the date you enter the country including the date you enter.

Thank you ubonjoe and lite beer.....I have got to start trusting my own judgement!!!!

The above replies are correct. The 90 day clock starts ticking when you re-enter. DO make sure you have a re-entry permit.

For future reference you can do it earlier and I understand there is a 7 day 'grace' period to do it later but look out for weekends and public holidays.

You must get a re-entry permit or your visa will become invalid.
