High Dynamic Range (HDR)

MJP

I really like that wooden table in the top pic.

I make these things as a hobby & am soon

to head out into the forest in search of "old

wood". Once cut to size each slab gets sanded

super smooth then either oiled or varnished.

if varnished 100 coats is the minimum I apply

with a hand sanding between each coat. Don't

like polyurethane coatings....too "plastic" for

me. Great shots MJP...kinda like a magic

mushroom ride...hah!

This was a puke test. I wanted to see how many of my tog friends down here in the tog forum threw up on exposure to these hideous images.

Seems it was just me.

I'm lucky I don't get the nausea from HDR, one of my favourite techniques. Thanks for the pictures.

Makes me chunder.

Got better recently at processing HDR to achieve a more natural look but still queasy.

I like this one MJP, may I ask about the lighting? Is tgis fixed or did you install or is it accentuated by HDR? I can see a shadow so presume there was a natural source?

There was light, you might be able to make out shadow on the corridor floor.

Post processing was the randomized iterative method.

^^^ Outta likes MJP...

I didn't take that pic of the insect fly critter thing by the way, just used it as an example.

I guess the tog did multiple exposures long multiple focus points which can only lead me to understand that's an awful lot of photos and the fly must have been dead.

Shag, HDR is your thing. You mange to use HDR to produce a natural image. Rare talent.

Thanks fella,I really do appreciate your kind feedback.

HDR is something that I like to play around with,a bit of a struggle sometimes trying to make something from the images out of

my old P&S camera. In the next couple of days my new camera should arrive and I am excited to get my hands on it.

I finally decided on a Alpha a6000 (stop sniggering tongue.png ) with standard 16-50mm and 55-210mm.
