ldnguy
You can get a train from Hua Hin to Don Muang. Also, ask at the van stop in Soi Sa Song near Hua Hin night market. They go to lots of places, so might also go to Don Muang. Edited July 1, 2014 by ldnguy

Thongkorn
you can get one of those white mini buses, they run from The bus station in Hua Hin, I have got them to Sahmut Sahkon, they go right into Bangkok.
Lakegeneve
You can get a train from Hua Hin to Don Muang. Just to make that clear, that would mean disembarking at Bang Sue and waiting for another train to head north to Don Mueang station. This is not really an easy option unless you work out train times and allow for the fact that trains from the south are often late.
Loptr
The only time I've done it I took a private car / taxi... I won't ride the mini-vans as I value my life and the train, forgetaboutit....
Geri Glines
Surely minibuses recommended by the name of the man (quick eddy)who drives the quickest simplest cheapest safe way ! Obviously if the kid stops off to pick up family sink and have lunch at grandmas on the way +2 hours filling up with natural gas we can blacklist him. This happened to me on route from Pattaya to Hua hin. On the way back we took a grand tour of all the many traffic Gridlock towns on the way plus half an hour whilst he had a cup of coffee before we started and half an hour whilst he waited to pick up his friend on route .
