boomerangutang
Re; response buttons for each post. Having just a 'like' button is too restrictive. Here's what I suggest, positioned from left to right: dislike a lot //// dislike //// like //// like a lot btw, I really don't like the new configuration (emoticons) used by the Nation newspaper. Whether a person responds with 'happy' or 'sad' ....doesn't gauge that person's opinion on that topic. In other words, a person could be sad about a particular news item, but does that sadness translate to wanting more of that activity or less? Using 'like' and 'dislike' - is more to the point. Crossy
No way José. We've tried a simple Not-like button a couple of times, the wheel has come off in a big way within a few days. It's just too open to abuse, cliques, personal vendettas etc. Impossible to moderate.
boomerangutang
When you tried a 'not like' button, were there multiple clicks by the same individual? Same as the 'like' button, can't a 'dislike' button be limited to one click per individual? I'd still like to see more choices in that regard. I go to NPR.org and there are open forums and commentaries on all their articles. There are 'thumbs up' and 'thumbs down' provisions under every comment, and I don't see problems there - and NPR likely gets a wider audience than Thaivisa.
