just booked our flights but the wife not happy with 20k luggage and wants to buy some more, is there a way to do this other than pay extra if you are over as that will be very expensive ?

With Thai Airways Int'l or Thai Air Asia? If Thai Airways Int'l you should post in the Suvarnabhumi Airport Forum as Thai Airways does not fly into Don Muang anymore. The THAI planes you see on the tarmac at Don Muang are old aircraft that have been de-commissioned and are no longer used for passenger flights (I believe they are part of the old A340-500 fleet that used to fly direct from BKK to LAX).
