Heavy rain in the central, eastern, and southern regions

The Meteorological Department has warned residents in the central, eastern and southern regions to be prepared for normal to heavy downpours over the next couple of days. The warning has also been issued to people living in Bangkok and its peripheral areas.

As for the provinces of Ranong, Phang Nga, Phuket, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat, the department has cautioned that these areas may encounter forest flood and/or sudden flooding, especially along the sloping areas.

The waves in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand will be around two to three meters high. Seafarers are warned for possible dangers while sailing. They are advised to stop sailing during the next couple of days.
