1 year multiple entry Non Immigrant B visa

Featured Replies

I'm living in Chiang Mai since 9 years. Since 8 years I'm working for my "own" little company. For years I always had a 1 year multiple entry Non Immigrant B visa either from Europe or Kuala Lumpur. Since October 2013 I can't get more than single entry 90 days. When I called to the consulate in Switzerland to ask about the requirements/documents they asked for such a visa I got the information that they would no longer be issued outside Thailand. As far as I know, the minimum Salary for such visa issued inside Thailand is around THB 60'000 but I not even got the half of that. Oh maybe I should mention that I got a work permit for 2YEARS!!! Does anybody here got any information or experience to share in this??

The minimum salary to get an extension for you is 50k baht.

You can get a multiple entry B visa in Penang if you have at least 7 months remaining on your work permit.

It is not a world wide policy not to do multiple entry visas.

Thanks - I was in Penang a few years back and could only get 3 months. Then I had it all fine with K.L. for several years. I heard in Vientiane they are no longer issuing 1 year visas neither....

Anyway, I'll need to go to Switzerland in April so will try it there again. If I have to go every 3 months, so be it, a little stressing but not to change....

A few years ago Penang wanted a huge registered capital requirement but has changed that.

They are the only nearby location still doing multiple entry B visas.

Thanks a lot!! I will see what Switzerland will give me (need to go anyway) and if I should only get the 3 months I'll try in Penang next.... I heard I could get a 30 days extension of that at the local immigration. Do you know anything about that?

The only extension you can get is 7 days unless you are married to a Thai.
