Pheu Thai pleads with rights organizations for justice

This is embarrassing. A top Thai government official "pleading" with low level NGO bureaucrats for justice.. Then asking them "what do you want us to do?" Shameful, they can't even contemplate running a country. He proposes that they will become a "failed state" if these NGOs won't line up with the current Thai government. Run, run fast, and run faster is what the outside world is doing. He's asking the army to "mediate" between people protesting and the lawfully elected government. preposterous shame on Thailand.

If there was any justice he would be doing the time that was handed down to him by the court.

Indeed, what right does this man have to call on any organisation for justice when he is still walking free...?

This is shocking. The protesters removed the nameplate from the National Police Office? That really is going too far.

How will anyone know that the people who work there are policemen now?

How will the police know how to get to work each day if there is no sign...?

Seems every day there are more convicted and indicted criminals in the PTP ranks, their bail only must be a drain on party finances. It explains the rush to hold an election, their indicted MPs are now available to attend court and face charges that will be very difficult to defend. And there are whole new raft of charges floating downriver from the NACC. Soon they will be holding party and cabinet meetings in adjoining cells (SKYPE not available, makes things difficult).

Prompong pleads for justice. Careful what you ask for, you just might get it.

So what happened to that? Its amazing how nobody ever seems to get around to serving their sentences. Only one I can think of is Thaksin's 'snack box' lawyer...and he was caught by a judge!

Currently on bail pending appeal.

remind me again...when did Suthep attend court

Remind me again... when was Suthep sentenced in court to jail.

You see there is a big difference between being convicted and sentenced and being accused, although possibly not in tiny little red minds.

“These are state properties paid for by the taxpayers,” - PRECISELY, they paid for it so what's the problem ? And when it is repaired it will be using the same tax payers money again, so they wasted their own money. What's the problem ?

Where was this man during the siege of Ratchaprason ? Where was he when all those buildings were on fire ? Was he talking about the need for police then ? Was he talking about public property then ? Was he talking about violence then ? Pheu Thai has total amnesia regarding the things they should remember, but perfect recall for events that never happened.

Like so many of the posters here whistling.gif

Wasn't PTP elected, courtesy of a group of protesters who certainly carried arms and whose actions also infringed on the rights of other people? I don't recall that there was much provoking of the police, but then I don't recall much evidence of a police presence at the time.

If they have problem finding the money maybe they could sell one of those one hundred or so 65.000 Baht wall clocks they placed in Parliament. They were not that concerned about the taxpayer then, were they?

Looking further back in time to the events of south Thailand and it becomes a joke that the thousands who were killed were never protected by human rights or anything else for that matter. Action against this humanitarian loss was never pursued and the guilty are still at large (somewhere). The government of that day was the very same colour as the one mentioned in the OP.

Let he who is without guilt cast the first stone.

errm... It was the army who killed them!! They don't do remorse, accountabilty in the same way they don't believe in elections.

Killings went on long after Thaksin was couped out. but, why let details get in the way of you barstool level thai history.
