New passport for Thai wife

Featured Replies

Could someone please tell me, if it is still possible to get a new Thai passport for a recently married friend at Bagna Central Department store at floor B1 under the present circumstances?

My wife needs hers renewed soon as well. When she applied for her first Thai passport, all that was needed was her Thai I.D and the House book (Tabien Baan) with her name in it. Do the same rules still apply?

The four of us all live in Pattaya.

Thanks in advance for any good information.

Bangna is about the only place to apply at the moment but has a limit of 2500 on the number they process a day. Normally she could apply at the office in Pattaya.

No changes on documents required to get a passport.

It seems impossible to get one before weeks because of the queue...

We were there a few months ago and it has moved from B1 to the 5th floor

Best to to take everything with you. My wife had just renewed her ID card a week before, so it was an easy process. But they said that sometimes they need more information/documents in more difficult cases?

The clerk did ask for a copy of my passport, but we showed her the marriage and change of surname cerificates and she said ok and made a note. Lucky we didnt have to make a return trip.

Note to self.... always carry passportwink.png
