As we start the run-up to the Calcutta Cup, everyone will be focussing on the Six Nations.

What do you reckon to Wales continuing their triumphs of recent years?

Or the Irish clubs managing to put fifteen players out who can play for their nation as well as their provinces?

So you think France will be able to match on their 2013 position?

Or do you think that confidence and experience will let Italy or Scotland wrestle the wooden spoon off of them?

All this against competition from Summer rugby on the back of their most successful world cup ever....

Well, SC, I just went to put a bet on Ireland to do the Grand Slam and Ladbrokes couldn't find the bet!! I hope that isn't an Omen!!

Italy Munstered Ireland in the final game last year and I can't see France being as bad, Scotland will not be in contention, and Wales will be the team to beat, but with a stool like Gat land in charge, I hope they get mauled.

Watching the Wales Italy game right now - half time. Italy doing fairly well - best I have seen them actually (so far). Wales are less impressive (probably just my expectation are high) - expected them to walk all over Italy, but early days yet.

On the BBC they had a call in vote - viewers estimating who they think will win it: 40% England / 35% Wales / 10% Ireland / 6% France / 6% Scotland / 2% Italy - but that's just as likely to be the breakdown of watchers home nations I guess biggrin.png

Decider: England v Wales at Twickers?

First Day:

To be honest Wales looked a little lazy and in the end a little fortunate, Italy will cause an upset and Wales will get better.

A poor French team, Fofana and Bastaeraud hardly turned up, but they will, wonn't win the tournament but I think Wales will go all the way.

At present the Winners of Ireland v Wales next W/E will be 6Ns champs.
