selftaopath Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 oHHH... this is so confusing, there's two different colors. How can anyone keep track?? Do mistakes occur in Thailand??? I don't think I ever knew any Thai - except my Mrs. lol - that made any/make mistakes. 1

Popular Post Morakot Posted February 3, 2014 Popular Post Posted February 3, 2014 Why didn't Yoda tell her instead of just standing there? 3
pantareiyingluck Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Yingluck said she had dropped her ballot papers in the wrong boxes on the advice of an election official and she informed the Election Commission after realising the mistake. Isn't she sweet, the darling of Isan? An official done it... She doesn't even know how to vote! What a stupid comment. If parking official tell you to park your vehicle somewhere, do you follow the advice? The Election Official for sure has been more nervous than she having Yingluck in front; mistakes happen and I wish you good luck and time waste with enjoying this mistake. "She doesn't even know how to vote....." Were you there at the ballot?
Popular Post whybother Posted February 3, 2014 Popular Post Posted February 3, 2014 Why didn't Yoda tell her instead of just standing there? <snip pic> Because Yingluck is more important. You can't tell more important people what to do. They always know better. 4
pantareiyingluck Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Can't speak English. Can't read Thai. That's the quality of Thai PM. Well, as long as she is regularly invited at Foreign Embassies as the US, her communication skills are pretty okay. and her intellgence, and her educated behavior. One thing for sure; Suthep will never ever be invited at the US Ambassdor's Residence. 100% certain.
Old Man River Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 BKK Post story confirms that Yingluck was wrongly instructed by the EC officers. Moreover, there were already ballots of the same colour that Yingluck put in the box in that same box - so there was no reason for her to doubt the instructions. It seems they were instructing everyone wrongly. Probably mislabelled the boxes. So the story isn't really so funny regards Yingluck's purported stupidity, but more worrying as EC officers should be able to get basic things like properly labelling boxes correct. The story is, of course, very funny given she has been the leader of the country and maybe again. Her vote will count, because she said it would. Sent from my iPad using Thaivisa Connect Thailand

Lupatria Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 I feel so sorry for her. Not for what she did,- it's more over the fact she can't even blame a farrang for her mistake. Where is that omnipresent part of "Thainess" is this?
ratcatcher Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Why didn't Yoda tell her instead of just standing there? "Train yourself to let go of everything you fear to lose" Yoda 2

Espinete Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 I prefer to see Yingluck making a mistake with mixing up the boxes than let's say, the sight of Abhisit during Constitution Day 2010 standing there as a beaten dog when General Prem passed by. Prem was busier playing with his cell.phone then looking in the eyes of the failed (not legally elected) PM in those days. What an embarassment was that. Prem was obviously angry AV didn't take proper actions during that turmoil.
pmugghc Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Prem was busier playing with his cell.phone then looking in the eyes of the failed (not legally elected) PM in those days. What makes you say that? AV was legally elected by the parliament as PM. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app

barryofthailand Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Yes she did and now her votes probably will not count.

The same happened when she was accused of corruption on the Rice Pledge Scheme. Although she was the leader in charge, it was others who made the decisions for her, so she cannot be blamed 1

Yes, and I'm sure people will be joking about this for years - just like the increasingly tiresome "thank you three times" thing - despite the fact she didn't actually do anything wrong. She wasn't sure, she asked, she got told the wrong thing, no real harm done as the vote will still count. End of story. lol. 2
mikemac Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Why didn't Yoda tell her instead of just standing there? I think Yoda would make a better PM, and the good thing is she is probably not related to the Shin regime !

What is a "concrete shortfall?" As for the picture and accompanying story, it's quite important. Otherwise, you wouldn't have bothered to reply. What this story/photo does is crystallize in a moment everything wrong with PTP and their governance. A clueless PM, being led around by others, told what to do, and in the end it all becomes a fiasco anyway, so she tries to run away and blame other people. It could apply to the floods, the rice scam, the infrastructure boondoggle, and scores of other, lesser issues. It's just as emblematic of Thailand and its current misadventures under PTP as was George W. Bush speaking under the Mission Accomplished sign on the aircraft carrier. 1

He was educated in Middle Tennessee State University. His English, I am 90% sure is better than yours.

rebelplatoon Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Looking good our PM in her smart outfit... Ah well, then again, that was never the problem. Looking good, that is!
SOTIRIOS Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 ...........I'm sure her counters.....who will have almost 3 weeks to announce the 'results'....will be able to take care of it.....
renaissanc Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 The lady probably got it wrong as there was no Skype connection with Dubai to tell her what to do. 1
sammyD Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Probably mislabelled the boxes. The box for constituency ballots is labeled for constituency ballots. The box for party-list ballots is labeled for party-list ballots. It's extremely complex. .

It is nice to see that you are honest, in that like most of the male population of Thailand, you enjoy the fantasy of licking her arse. However, you really don't need to do it so publically on an internet forum. 2
