BANGKOK: -- An MCOT anchor was robbed by four teenagers yesterday morning on her way back to her condo in Huai Khwang district.

Kittima Na Thalang, MCOT’s international news anchor, had finished reading the morning news and was on the way back to her Lumpini Place condominium when four teenagers riding one motorbike stopped her on Watthana Tham Road and threatened her.

The male teenager riding on the back grabbed Kittima’s purse as she tried to fight back, then he pulled out a Spartan-style knife. At that point Kittima decided to let go of the purse, which held her iPhone, house keys and some cash. [read more...]

Buddhist Thai teens?

They must be Cambodian teens, imported by Thaksin.

Did the police traced her IPhone's GPS to get the location of the "teenagers"?

That is not even remotely funny.

Childish beyond belief.

You sure it said Buddhist Thai teens? I read it quickly, but missed that.

Are you trying to say that Buddhist do not commit crimes ...like the rest of us?

Possibly not Buddhist Monks...nor Christian Priests, nor followers of Islam?

Thank God they were not Catholics from New York...

More great publicity for Thailand, should be on tomorrows international news.

Well I did learn the other day on TV that a daylight robbery is not as serious as one committed at nighttime so you are probably

correct on the 50 baht fine.

A salient reminder to just let go of the purse/man bag when threatened by these thugs. The murder of the Australian woman in phuket a case in point. I' m sure it's well known by people on here not to try to resist
