Flying Clog
Does anyone know where you can by a humidifier for use in a child's bedroom in Phuket? Specifically anywhere north of let's say, Central Festival, as we leave nearer Thalang. Thanks, FC
phuketsub
I don't think it will be easy to find one, due to lack of demand. I am curious as to why a humidifier would ever be needed here...Even at the driest time of the year, as we are experiencing now, it's still very humid here. Anyway, if you can't find one you won't have to wait long for the greatest humidifier of all: the monsoon season.

I used to always wake up with dry throat using aircon here. That's the only reason I can think of. There were humidifiers for sale at the Chalong Temple fair the other day. I have also seen them at Robinsons and Central.

It might be a good idea to open a window (with mosquito screen) and possibly turn on a fan. There is no real need for aircon right now.
Flying Clog
Agree with all the above. Wish we had fly screens on our windows, in which case they would surely be open at night! Problem seems to be that our 2 year old has a persistent cough due to dry A/C at night, hence the hunt for a humidifier to park next to his cot... Will check central, thanks, FC

beechbum
Get new aluminum windows with fly screens put in so you dont have to use the aircon so much, better for your kid. Edited February 7, 2014 by beechbum
