CMPO bans PDRC leaders from leaving country

BANGKOK, 8 February 2014 (NNT) – The Center for Maintaining Peace and Order (CMPO) on Friday issued a directive banning foreign travel by leaders of the People's Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC).

According to Department of Special Investigation Director-General and CMPO committee Tharit Phengdit, officials at every immigration point have been ordered to bar the 19 PDRC leaders wanted on arrest warrants as well as another 39 leaders, whose arrest warrants are being sought, from leaving Thailand. Immigration police are to take the aforementioned individuals into custody should they be spotted, and then report to the CMPO. The directive takes effect immediately.

Moreover, Mr. Tharit disclosed that he expected the CMPO to issue a deportation order for prominent Indian businessman Satish Sehgal by Saturday.

38 state offices earlier sealed off by anti-government protesters are now open and the rest will soon be opened as well, Tharit further revealed. People can check the status of any public agency at the hotline 1111.

Good move.

Also, members of the public should be ready to ring the hotline if they spot any of these 39 protest leader weasels anywhere near the border.

Or any officials government connected, until the scams have over the past 3 years have had their court hearings, as I'm sure there are to be countless.

And you forgot to add in the "politicians" still currently playing an active role with PT despite their convictions. Start with the ones breaking the law in your own party then move on to the rest.

No Olympic games this year so I doubt that any of the people on the watch list will be leaving the country on a bail jumping convicted felons one way ticket.

I wonder how many PTP people were in the 25,500 corruption cases the amnesty bill sought to expunge...

Why would they be near the border? They are protesting in Bangkok at least until Sheriff Chalerm catches them. Don't keep the coffee hot.

Anyway Moonao, they are not weasels, they are vicious thugs.

anti democratic bullies more accurately describes them.... the thuggery they leave to their "guards" (some of which are indeed vicious). then following behind there is the rest... the sheep!

PDRC: "Screw you, grow up,..."cheesy.gifcheesy.gifcheesy.gifcheesy.gifcheesy.gifcheesy.gif

Your comment shows your infantism. Grow up and learn how to write words with more than 4 letters.

In the meantime you can read i presume. So maybe you read that they are refusing exits to people without warrants for arrest. Im sure if this happened to one of your red leaders you would use more 4 letter words only they would not show you so happyg

I'm not suggesting you've had a colostomy or that a button is missing on your keyboard but I think you missed the colon

They're here to stay and fight unlike the coward of Dubai.

This cretinous government is getting more desperate and vindictive with every idiot move they make against the protesters. They know it's close to the end and come April, it's bye bye.

April? I think you have previously said positively, definitely,absolutely.. November, December, January, February. Is march not a possibility?

Must admit they have put up a good fight and it's not over yet but you are still supporting the losing team.

He should be under arrest, if only for blocking citizens' right to vote. Which led to many citizens being beaten to a pulp outside voting stations, and intimidated. This is not acceptable in the 21st century, and it is the polar opposite of the core principles of democracy. He should probably be in cuffs for other things too. More on that story later!

But also btw Thaksin should only be allowed out of jail to attend his future trials for mis-spending big chunks of the state fund, and for ordering the actions which led to 2500 deaths.

Both of these characters should be under arrest, it is ridiculous that anyone would side with either of them. If you saw them approaching you from different ends of an alley, you wouldn't know which way to run lol.

I wonder why the authorities don't ban all criminally indicted people from leaving the country like Ferrari boy Red BS and the other numbskulls who elope as the fancy takes them. If they were foreign the courts takes their passport but apparently not necessary for the very law abiding ethical Thais. I wonder why these anti-government lot need special treatment especially since I was under the impression they wanted them out. Another confusing Thai melodrama playing out!

That's correct, vicious nasty thugs, bombing, shooting, murdering poor defenceless red-shirts who are outstanding models of society, except when they get side-tracked into setting up barricades throughout the city, firing on their opposition, military and anyone else, setting fire to the city - of course this is OK, their fugitive criminal leader say's no problem I am your born and rightful leader - so go right ahead.

Time to put down that yellow glue, son. Enough for one day.
