Totster
does anyone know with certainty how long the stamp is good for, i doont want to thumb thru my pp and count the days.the month is 30 days... The visa on arrival allows you to remain in Thailand for 30 days i come in on the eve of the 16th -i must leave by the 14th @ 23:59 correct? Assuming you arrive on the 16th June then you will have to leave on 15th July there MAY be a grace period BY AIRPORT of 1 daythere is no grace period on malaysian border (sure). DO NOT rely on a 1 day grace period... leave on the date stamped in the passport, leaving after that date is OVERSTAY the fine has been bumped to 500 p.d @ airport (??) -correct? Correct totster

Gumballl
When you receive your 30-day entry permit, your passport will be stamped with the date that you must leave. Thai immigration does this as a courtesy for those who can't count.
monochaser
There's no courtesy thing here, immi tells you the day you gotta go out and that's that. Nothing matters other than that date. This is one thing that Thailand does right
Axel
30 days is 30 days. They do consider 30th and 31st of a month as well as 28th or 29th February. Any mistake made at BKK - airport can be corrected at BKK immigration office. They got a counter for that.
sua yai
As has been said before on this thread, leave on or before the date stamped in your passport. Simple.
