kingstonkid
After walking from Ploenchit to MBK I think it is safe to say that there is a definite winner in this protest already. It is the THAI ECONOOMY the people with all the stalls and food all around on the street. I am not sure where they come frombut can only imagine that they are definitely benefiting from all the foot traffic and the ability to be on a main street. i think they will be the ones that will want this to go on the longest. wym
Do you know the difference between macro and micro-economics? IMO the stats will show in coming months a HUGE negative impact on the overall economy. That factor is probably the only one that will bring the opposition to their senses and hopefully decide to actually play the democracy game, sham though it may be.

KhunBENQ
A few foodstall operators are the "Thai economy"? Good laugh. Thailand and the Thai economy are THE loosers of this protests. And its not only the huge losses in the Tourist industry,

And its not only the huge losses in the Tourist industry, Thai macro economy, like any capitalist model is getting real good at making a few rich richer and a lot of poor people poorer. For once the balance is tiling slightly the other way
