Unusual money withdrawal of cash from GSB

By the very evident strength in the Baht today, it looks like a lot of money is coming into Thailand ( reversing the trend last month and December and probably reflecting higher interest rates...but no lack of confidence in the sector or the country).

Suthep and his acolytes, both well-meaning and otherwise, have done much damage to the economy. It will recover once he is in jail

Not true, the idea that foreign money is returning to Thailand is laughable, I mean really, where do you get this from?

Suthep, like his opposite Thaksin, will not see jail anytime soon no matter how hard you dream about it.

As soon as Yingluck has been relieved of duty things will start to normalize.

The Thai protests are the headline news at the moment on the BBC world news and Jonathon Head has just reported (through teary eyes no doubt) that Yingluck cannot go on for much longer and that she may not have any other choice but to stand down and agree to Suthep's plan to have an unelected commission!!!

Now please don't tell me that this is some fake yellow talk as it came from the red's very own JH!!!

He also said "it is looking very bleak for Yingluck as she has been officially charged with fraud over the G2G scandal and faces impeachment!!

Well done Suthep - our warrior!!

Note to Yingluck - why don't you follow the lead of the GSB president, gracefully fall on your sword and step down to avoid further bloodshed!!

because for yingluck to step down means civil war to reclaim democracy from Suthep and his junta.

fight the good fight yingluck... not that you listen to the dross on here!!! :)

Even as the curtain drops on the PTP caretaker government, their day's numbered you still fail to see the reality of the situation.

What are you on?

Some people's fantasy dream worlds can seem so realistic that they can't separate it from reality!!!

Junta, what junta??

I think that the army has taken a rather neutral position throughout, don't you??

Fight the good fight!!!! Hahaha had to laugh at that one!! Thaksin's police are amateurs.

But that could be said of many Thai's, how else could such a corrupt government ever get elected.

Good that these boneheads withdrew their money from the GSB.... only means they can't do it again.

Now.... time to release the full list of businesses that are supporting the terrorist protesters.

Time for the rest of Thailand to show that financing fascists is VERY bad for business. smile.png

Boneheads must be your speciality. Will you be accompanying your esteemed leader to Dubai, when they are finally forced into exile, or face the prospect of long jail terms??

That could down to the possibility that if the voters weren't paid they wouldn't bother voting!

If he said that, it would reflect his misunderstanding of the process. A "charge" is simply an allegation requiring investigation. It is NOT an indictment. Your announcement is, at best, premature.....

I'll be accompanying you and a few other farangs on here to the mental health ward, when Suthep gets his life sentence, Abhisit takes refuge in the North Korean embassy, and Yingluck and co get a majority in parliament at every single election. year after year after year.... as they have done in the last 10 or so years despite failed attempts at power grabs by the ammart. smile.png

Nope!! a charge is when the investigation deems there to be enough evidence for an indictment. She is being officially charged at the end of the month following the investigation into the fake G2G rice deals.

As she is chairperson of the committee (ultimately responsible for the scam) and the Chinese Government denies that there were any deals struck or contracts signed she is in a seemingly insurmountable quandary that even I can see she will be found guilty of fraud (and probably corruption as well)!!!

I'm pretty familiar with mental health wards thanks, having been a Charge Nurse on one. I'd guess the only escort you'd be familiar with is a Ford, as every ##%% has one

None of them will go to jail, you should know that. But they are finished.

Elections every year? That will be a lot of caretaker time. Is she already practising for that?

Good timing with this comment then...

The baht dripped 0.5%, the most in six weeks this morning,

It's almost as if it did this on purpose to you

But before you go on about only one day, the most pertinent figure is that the baht has dropped 4% since the end of October when the protests started (according to central bank figures)

Pathetic troll

You are only looking at the opening number. It came back late in the session. I would prefer to see it lower but not on panic selling. Fortunately that is not happening. Stay informed or don't bother to comment with old news from a myopic perspective

It isn't the markets that are panicking.
