Why ask
She probably made speech while the Skype connection was down . Pu's speeches could be a lot better if she employed Borislav Ivanov as her shoe designer .... Then again, with the unreliability of EGAT and a slight electric surge, she might get mated again and again.

Tatsujin
We see once again that the Shin's simply say what they want with no regard or thought to consequences because they believe they can do anything they want to do. The "election" is still ongoing, it's not finished yet, and appearing on National TV and making the statements she did is election campaigning (yet again) and totally improper in this context. And others are against her for other things other than just the rice pledging debacle. But qualified or not, there is a grand preponderance that are turning their backs on her government, no matter how gilded a lily the PTP lackeys say is inside the sows ear masquerading as a silk purse. And this speech at this time was one more misjudgment by the whole of Team Thaksin. Edited February 21, 2014 by animatic

Great this floppy democracy .... mai pen rai, mai pen rai ... No. They removed Samak from office for 'admitted conflict of interest' ; He said he got paid to cook on TV and make his political speeches while cooking. So he was 'taking money from a company that makes it's entire living selling broadcast media on state controlled TV.' And lying about taking money for the cooking program. Tried to say it was for his chauffeur when called on it. Ultimately Samak removed himself from office for showing total arrogance in face of clear laws, that he thought shouldn't apply to him and against several of his own lawyers advice. And ultimately he could have been PM again the next day, but Thaksin wanted a more compliant PM. He got Somchai, who worked himself into an near identical situation as his sister in law Yingluck. It seems Thaksin can't do anything but hang his nearest and dearest out to dry in front of the whole world. Basil B
By dissolving a political party, will that remove the PM and her ministers from office with immediate effect? one thing for sure is they will reform under a new name. They should be petitioning the courts naming the Shinawatra clan and cronies as "Unfit and Proper persons" to hold public office.
tomross46
There will come a time, in the near future, when government employees and even the police realize, that this government is so corrupt it can not be saved. With the amount of Panzi Sachems, being carried out at the cost of the poor people that supported them, they will go. Scamper
Yingluck's speech on television was really stupid from a number of standpoints, and did nothing but harden criticism of the administration. But by lobbying for election votes, specifically citing the rice scheme - was a huge unforced error - for it opens her party up for dissolution on election law infractions. Back to facebook. smileydude
Yingluck pretty much dissolved herself and the PTP singlehandedly by opening her yapper. National Election was 2nd February, Yingluk won, there aren't enough seats left to change the winner. So comments made 18th Feb could have no bearing on the election result at all! Then of course Suthep and Abhisit have been ranting endlessly about the rice scheme, so if you ban Pheu Thai, you then have to also ban the democrats for the exact same reason. What a sad joke this coup has become. Edited February 21, 2014 by BlueNoseCodger

So how can her speech after those votes were cast, materially change the ballot papers already cast and counted by the EC? It's can't of course, and thus if it can't change those votes, and can't material change the result. Yingluk is our new PM, the EC just hasn't declared it yet. Election doesn't need to be complete to be over, last election had polls after the result was declared. It's normal that the EC does a cleanup of the problem polling stations after the election. A speech after the votes were taken shouldn't affect the EC's certification, as they are claim to be independent and professional. State TV carried her speech as it carried Suthep rants and Abhisits whines. Bluesky carries their lies 24/7. Reporting is not misusing! The idea that she would make a speech and the government news channel would not carry it, is laughable. Your side lost, they should quit their lawyer tricks, and tell their friends in their offices to do their jobs and stop making Thailand look like some sort of third-world joke.
