You people take the piss if they take a bribe and take the piss if they don't.

I give a thumbs up to those officers, credit where credit is due

Yep credit for the police, only problem in this country for me is could the cop not be bribed or was the price not high enough.

There is so much corruption that it is hard to know if this was done out of honesty (i really hope so) or a low bribe.

That is why tough laws on corruption are needed and police caught taking a bribe should be in jail.

Not even one poster on here congratulating the BiB for doing a fine job? Just a load of unfounded and bias accusations against the police along with the usual racialists of extremely low intellect or a place where the brain-dead like to hang out.

And so we have another Thai bashing thread. Will be interesting to see how far all this crap will escalate too?

See my post on side 1

There has always been enough criticism of Thai police to ice a cake. But when it comes to the frequent low-level crimes (ie., robbing an ATM vs. robbing a bank teller), even the lowest police ranks seem to have their enforcement responsibilities together. I hope the police leadership can choose to build more on these accomplishments to improve the overall professionalism of the police force. Publicizing these successes and recognizing individual policemen efforts could improve morale and sesce of public service that doesn't require corruption.

Mr Radoun told police that David was a French national who had offered him 10,000 baht for a ride to the ATM machine. He then offered the officers a bribe to let him go, Col Sutthichai said.

Am I that cheap? I am a Col. You made a wrong amount of offer.

“Mr Radoun told police that David was a French national who had offered him 10,000 baht for a ride to the ATM machine.”

I just hope the Phuket tuk tuk drivers will never hear about the drastc price hike…

Nanai soi 8 mob again, for sure Well overdue for a clean out of these ''french rejects" for once and for all.

I've had some uninvited personal interaction with some of them and they are the most arrogant, ignorant people bottomfeeders i have ever met..

They move in and take over in areas all around the world, and french authorities are glad to see them move..Easier to keep paying them all the easy benefits they get and not have them living in France, where they have totally taken over many cities.

One of these guys had no passport and the other no visa, and this is common amongst them.

"the French colonisers are now getting their payback ..."

Stupid remark... All the countries in Europe have the same problems with this African,Arabic and muslim immigration (Belgium, Holland, Sweden, UK, Germany....) These people are just unable to respect the rules...

Did the Thailand colonize them? why they come here to piss off us?

It's not about colonization, it's about culture... Anywhere these people will go, they will stir up the shit !

My father is French and My mother Thai and i will never go again to France! I Hate France because of this African immigration...

Not stupid at all ,and i agree with most of what you say and i well realise that all the other countries are copping it the same, and paying for their old take overs...bloody good job!!

But in this case/thread the offenders are FRENCH. as you know, from FRANCE..Yes?smile.png

It's always North Afrikans, with French passports breaking the law......

No. They may be more conspicuous and are made into high profile examples, but are you suggesting Caucasian Europeans are all innocent of any crime?

Think this sums it up

Care to share some insider info? Just curious what you would consider an appropriate bribe in your local cop shack?

Obviously hatred and bigotry is very much alive and well in French people. The "wrong" name or race is totally unacceptable to the "quality" French people. I can't help wondering just how many of the "quality" French have a family tree that has much in the way of French roots.

Granted, Paris has the Louvre with it's vast array of plundered treasures of the world and there is the very useful Eiffel Tower. There is also the guillotine for the French to be so proud of.

I have been to France and hated it. Been there, done it and will not do it again. An arrogant superior attitude seemed to prevail everywhere. I can't help but wonder why the French feel the way they do. French are at best an unimpressive bunch living in their own imagined glory. The ThaiVisa French are a group that possess the same traits.

So are you saying that I can't express my opinion based on my personal observations and experiences?

Is it what I am saying? Read again if you are thinking that it is the case.

Mr Radoun allegedly offered the Patong Police officers 5,500 Euro (about 245,000 baht) and a regular monthly pay-off of 150,000 baht.

What ?!? blink.png

What happened to be 500b bribe and we're all good ?

That's a hell of bribe..! Is that the current rate of the market ?ph34r.png.pagespeed.ce.GOH20nhrx_.png

Evidently not. It didn't work.

The real French are having honest and peaceful holidays in Kata and Karon. These guys are Arabs and North Africans with French passports, bringing their good-for-nothings from France to Thailand. I am sure the French are very happy to see these "French" locked up in a thai jail for a very long time.

.

yeah no real French criminals hey, just Muslims, you guys are a joke do you ever read what you write?

How many French people on Thaivisa ? you know the number ? I am one of them and I don't feel arrogant ; I am always surprised by the hatred shown for France and French on this forum ( same hatred for Thai people: by the way, what are the numerous Thaivisa members doing in this country, obviously they hate and despise Thailand ?) Is hatred of the other nationalities the "marque de fabrique " of Thaivisa ?

At least, I am satisfied to see that you are not indifferent about my country ( and just for you, I am not so much in love for France, my country now is Thailand, I can speak and read the language pretty well and I hope to stay here all the rest of my life.)

According to the headline, he is alleged to be French. Shouldn't be hard to prove. Check the cover of his passport. Just one more example of the xenphobic culture.
