Police "protection"

Featured Replies

A friend of me (Thai lady) has a small combined massage and bar, and she have the necessary license for these two activities.

Recently she have a visit from a couple of policemen asking her who take care of the “protection” of her business, and since she did not have any such “special protection” they say that they will take care of that for a certain amount of money each month (without any receipt given of course).

Have anyone experienced this? Is there anything one can do or is only to pay?

Any suggestions what to do are appreciated.

Been asked by a policeofficer, in a familyrelated matter, if i needed a friend to uphold the law.

From hearsay ur friends situation is quite common in the land of smiles.

If i would be her, i would stay away from it. Provided she does not do something illegal ofcourse.

Please re-read the forum rules regarding discussions of illegal activities.
