February 27, 201412 yr OMYC SailingRegatta 38th / 9th March, 2014Sponsored by"The Sting" (David Wales) Following a very successful Regatta 1 and 2, we announce Regatta 3 to take place at OMYC on 8th / 9th March.The event is sponsored by "The Sting" and Officer of the Day is David Wales. OMYC continue to support the club, providing support boats and staff for the event.The format will be the same as the previous regattas, with two classes - IRC Class and Open Class and we expect very close racing once again.The new OMYC sailing Course Book was issued to all participating boats at registration for regatta 2 and will be issued to boats that didn't take part in that regatta, so we will be able to take advantage of some of the new courses that have been developed.A Course Book will be free of charge to all boats that take part in our regattas, thanks to the sponsors featured in the book, and additional books will be available at a cost of 500 baht.Schedule for the weekend:-Saturday, 8th March -09:00 - Registration at OMYC Sailors Bar and issue of revised Course Book to those who were not at regatta 2.09:30 - Skippers Briefing11:00 - Racing17:00 - Awards, Beer and Food on the decking at Sailors Bar.Sunday, 9th March09:30 - Skippers Briefing11:00 - Racing16:00 - Awards and Beer at Sailors Bar.Cost for the weekend is 800 baht per personSailing Instructions for the racing are as featured on the OMYC Sailing website.We are expecting excellent sailing weather for the regatta and encourage all boat owners and crew to take part.Thanks again to "The Sting" and OMYC for supporting the club and this event.If you are a boat owner that needs crew or a sailor that is looking for a boat to sail on, please PM me.See you on Saturday, 8th March.
